Abigail Garza And Michael Burrer Death, Couples Falls Victim Of Murder- Suicide, New Braunfels, TX

In what appears to be a murder-suicide, a couple in New Braunfels passed away on Saturday night, July 7, according to a news release from the city on Sunday. When New Braunfels police arrived at a house in the 900 block of Pumpkin Ridge at approximately five o’clock in the evening, they found evidence of a crime.

A call regarding a welfare concern was placed to dispatchers, as the woman in question had allegedly threatened to hurt both herself and her partner. When NBPD officers got there, they discovered Michael Burrer, 45, of New Braunfels and Abigail Garza, 32, of Robbstown, in one of the house’s bedrooms. They had both been shot and died.

According to the police, the pair had not spoken to their family in several days and the woman had threatened to harm both herself and her lover. When police arrived at the house, they discovered the couple shot to death in a bedroom. Authorities think that Abigail Garza, 32, of Robstown shot Michael Burrer, 45, of New Braunfels before shooting herself. In New Braunfels, this is the first murder of the year. An inquiry is underway into the shooting.
